How to get a bike

Remember to always try the bike before you buy it! Check the brakes!

Look on the map for locations.

A good price for a second-hand bike is 300-700 SEK. You also need a good lock. Use the store rooms where you live. Bikes that are not locked to a pole with a heavy lock or stored inside risks being stolen.

Second-hand bikes
There is a recycling center at Kronan which renovates bikes and sells them. Their phone number is 0920-45 58 06. It is called Återvinningsmarknaden. Opening hours Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00.

Blocket.se Click on Norrbotten and then Luleå. Chose the category "Cyklar" then click "Sök" (cykel=bike, cyklar=bikes, sök=search). Blocket is a Swedish site for classifieds.

Check the notice boards at the University.
